Mangaladevi Temple

The Mangaladevi Temple is a Hindu temple at Bolara in the city of Mangaluru in the South Indian state of Karnataka, situated about three km southwest of the city centre. The temple is dedicated to Hindu god Shakti in the form of Mangaladevi. The city of Mangaluru is named after the presiding deity, Mangaladevi.

St. Aloysius Chapel

St. Aloysius Chapel or the chapel of Aloysius College is a Christian Chapel in Mangalore in the city of Karnataka in south-west India. The chapel is situated in the heart of Mangalore. It was built by Jesuit Missionaries in 1880 and the beautiful walls inside were done by the Italian painter Antonio Moscheni in 1899.

Tannirbhavi Beach

Tannirbhavi beach is located in a place called Panambur which is 10 km north of Mangalore. The beach gives you a peaceful tune of calmness of a river and waves of the sea. There are plenty of state transport and private buses plying in that route from the capital city to Mangalore. The beach is much deserted and possesses no busy essence of a crowded place.

Milagres Church (Mangalore)

Milagres Church, Mangalore was built in 1680 by Bishop Thomas De Castro, a Theatine Priest of Salsette. The Church was then built at the site of the present cemetery. The 16th century marks an important
event in the history of our community, as conversion to Christianity by Portuguese influence waned due to several reasons.

Bahubali

Bharata, king of Ayodhya, had an overriding ambition to become king of kings. He set about subduing every kingdom possible including those of his brothers. The only person to oppose his arrogance was his half-brother, Bahubali, who defeated Bharata in single combat. However, Bahubali abdicated all claims to the throne and left for the forests to meditate.

Kudroli Bhagavathi

The temple is more than thousand years old. The four renovated temple complexes were built by Karnataka and Kerala artisans using black granite and wood carvings. Ancient single stone multistage granite carvings known as “Veerastambha” can be found in the temple. The famous “Shri Narayana Guru” statue is carved in white marble and situated in the entrance.
